Courses are designed to be completed over multiple weeks or months depending on scheduling availability. Sessions are generally available during the evening Monday-Friday and during the morning Saturday-Sunday.

Below are some examples of potential Orpheus tracks for reference only. Any session can be purchased a la carte or mixed and matched to your specific needs.

All Orpheus courses are 1:1 and completely personalized.

  • Many people struggle with figuring out what they want to do in their career. This feeling can range from moderate confusion to existential dread: “What do I want to do with my life?” Luckily, there are structured ways to hone in on potential answers to this question. No one can answer it for you, but we’ll focus on identifying career path options that fit three dimensions: your skills, your interests, and your personal value system. Options can be categorized by career path trajectory, compensation level, mobility across industries, and more.

  • Orpheus will help you craft a concise and compelling resume that highlights your skills and achievements. Orpheus focuses on “co-creation” for a reason - generally, it is not in your best interests for someone else to make your entire resume for you. We’ll work together to ensure your personal experiences are reflected in an impressive and authentic way, and to ensure that you can continue to build on your resume well after you’ve finished working with Orpheus.

  • Finding the right opportunities in a sea of online information can feel overwhelming, especially when some jobs are receiving hundreds of applications at once. Orpheus will teach you the best ways to find relevant jobs or internships, how to look beyond just LinkedIn and Indeed, and strategies for getting an interview faster once you’ve found something you like.

  • Interview prep is one of the most-neglected parts of the process for younger candidates. Many people assume that getting an interview is the toughest part, but acing an interview with a real person is much more difficult than you might think. Your interviewer will be judging you across dozens of dimensions - consciously and subconsciously - that you might not even think about, all while comparing you against other well-qualified applicants. This is one of the most critical parts of the process and Orpheus places a very high emphasis on preparing for it. We’ll focus on how to get ready for an interview, how to manage your nerves, and how to manage the quality and quantity of your answers.

  • Many companies are increasingly asking applicants to complete case studies to showcase their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This is becoming especially common in technology, marketing, product management, strategy, banking and consulting roles. Depending on your desired career path, Orpheus will take you through some potential case studies and help you get ready for the ones you might encounter in the job search.

  • Personal storytelling is something all candidates struggle with. This is the story of you - who are you? More importantly, why should anyone care? How do your unique experiences, struggles, strengths, failures, and lessons learned make you more valuable or better-equipped than someone else? This is such a core part of the job search, and yet so many candidates are not able to confidently or convincingly express an authentic personal story. It is an inherently human problem - knowing oneself and becoming confident in it. But with the right introspection and preparation, you can begin the journey of building your story. This is a core pillar of the Orpheus program.

FAQs

How does a typical Orpheus program work?

The Orpheus program is tailored to your specific needs and goals, so sessions are rarely the same between individuals. Each course begins with a complimentary intake session to identify the areas you want to work on and chart a path forward. If you’re struggling with what you want to pursue in your career or where to start, that’s okay - we’ll spend time on value identification to focus your thoughts and lay out the options. Will’s approach aims to blend expert advice with a high level of empathy and responsiveness, ensuring each program never feels generic or prescriptive.

Simply put, your goals will influence the program’s goals. If you want to focus on getting an internship or job, that’s where we’ll spend time. If you want to hone your storytelling and interviewing skills, we can focus there instead. Course components can always be added or dropped as desired.

How are sessions typically formatted?

Sessions are virtual over Microsoft Teams. Although some sessions will have proprietary Orpheus content to be reviewed together, most sessions are designed to be entirely collaborative. We’ll work as a team throughout the course to tackle challenges together and ensure you’re getting as much hands-on learning as possible.

How much do Orpheus plans cost?

Sessions are billed at $200/hr. Each session is an hour.

Does Orpheus come with a job or internship guarantee?

Any and all job hiring decisions from prospective employers are unfortunately outside of Orpheus’s control, no matter how great an applicant someone is. The Orpheus program will do its best to prepare you to get hired, but guarantees aren’t possible.

Does Orpheus charge compensation package fees if I’m hired?

No.
